An odd unknown giant sea monster washed ashore in Mexico recently or at least that's what most people think. This so called sea monster is nothing more than an oarfish, this fish is responsible for probably most of the misidentified sea monsters reports, because of it's large size (reaching over 30ft), odd serpent shape, and general rarity. When a oarfish is swimming near the surface it appears like a giant sea serpent and if you seen a 30ft specimen and weren't aware of this fish's existence prior to your sighting you would probably think it was some giant sea serpent.
